Shardlow Lock is the first lock you will pass through on your adventure with The Purple Boat. Located next to The Clock Warehouse and the Shardlow Heritage Centre it is the perfect place to begin your holiday. The canal running through Shardlow was completed in 1777, and Shardlow Lock has been in operation ever since!
